Mark Cullen is Canada's own garden expert. His love of horticulture was firmly rooted as he grew up in his family's business, Weall and Cullen Garden Centres. Now the company's former President, Mark enthusiastically shares his knowledge and passion for gardening as host of The Garden Show on CFRB Radio and through his gardening columns in Gardening Life magazine (1.7 million readers across Canada). Mark's weekly appearances on CTV's Canada AM reach over one million Canadians every week.

Mark is a best selling author and one of Canada's most prolific garden writers. His book, The Greener Thumb, has sold over 140,000 copies and remains the all time best selling Canadian gardening title. In addition, he authored The All Seasons Gardener, The Real Dirt, Canadian Garden Design and The Ontario Gardener and has sold more than 400,000 copies in Canada.

As part of his commitment to helping to produce healthier, more beautiful gardens, Mark acts as national spokesperson for the not for profit Composting Council of Canada. He also acts as spokesperson for the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority's (TRCA) Living City program in Toronto. Mark is the horticultural spokesperson for Home Hardware stores nationally and also endorses products such as Golf Green fertilizers and grass seed and Green Earth environmentally friendly products by NuGro/Spectrum.

In 2003, Mark earned the 'Queens Jubilee' medal for his "outstanding contribution to helping to feed the hungry" through his work with the Plant A Row/Grow a Row for the Hungry organization. He is also the Honorary Patron of SHARE Agricultural Foundation, which provides relief to underprivileged farmers in third world countries and he is an active supporter of the Greater Toronto United Way.
